Youth is such a special time, something that passes by quickly, but leaves a lasting mark. For me, my youth is forever tied to NCT Dream — seven voices that became the soundtrack to my growing up years, filling my life with hope, excitement, and comfort.

CHEWING GUM ERA

The first time I came across them, I was instantly drawn in. They weren’t just another K-pop group; they had this incredible energy and warmth that felt like they were speaking directly to me. I was still figuring out who I was and what I wanted in life, and their music became something I leaned on.

When I first heard “Chewing Gum,” their debut song, I wasn’t sure how I felt. It was so fun and light, and I was used to more serious songs. But something about it made me feel carefree, reminding me not to rush through life, to enjoy the small moments, and embrace the fun parts of being young.

As NCT Dream grew, so did I. Their music started to reflect the challenges and joys of growing up, and I could see myself in their journey. Songs like “My First and Last” and “We Go Up” talked about change and holding onto memories, themes I could relate to as I faced my own transitions.

As I step into my 20s journey, I realize just how much their songs have shaped me. When I was unsure of my future, “Boom” was there to give me confidence, pushing me to break free from expectations and be bold. It felt like they were cheering me on, reminding me that it’s okay to not have everything figured out, as long as I keep moving forward.

NCT Dream became more than just a group I liked; they felt like friends who were growing up right alongside me. Their music wasn’t just entertainment — it was a source of strength and motivation. When I was overwhelmed, “Ridin’” would lift my spirits, and when life felt uncertain, “Hot Sauce” brought a burst of energy, reminding me that sometimes you just need to spice things up and keep going.

They taught me that youth isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about learning, making mistakes, and growing along the way. NCT Dream showed me that it’s okay to dream big, take risks, and embrace the journey, even when it feels messy or uncertain.

Now, looking back, I realize how much they’ve meant to me. NCT Dream isn’t just a group I listened to during my teenage years; they represent my own growth, my own journey. As I step further into adulthood, their songs will always remind me of my youth, of the lessons I’ve learned, and of the dreams I still carry with me.

To me, NCT Dream isn’t just a K-pop group. They are the voices of my youth, the memories I’ll always treasure, and a reminder to keep dreaming, no matter where life takes me.
